Making gold in the wow auction house is quite
simple if you know what you’re doing. Understanding what markets to
target is critical. Without that insight, you can lose a
ton of gold very quickly. Of course, a wow auction house
guide akin to Mayle Winter’s “WoW Auction Mastery” points out the best
markets, but what about the people who can’t afford that
kind of info? For those players, I’d like to point out my 3 best markets for getting gold on the auction house in
WoW.
1. Gems - The gems used for jewelcrafting are a giant market. Make sure to
stick with the ones that have both PVE and PVP uses. Stamina always
sells decently, and any gem that increases DPS is a constant seller. Resilience does great if you can stock up and list a bunch right when a new arena season landsstartsAvoid stats like defense and mana regen.
2. Rare Recipes - You’ll find these on the auction house frequently at far lower prices than they should be. Check with
WoWhead and find out how much they are worth, and if they are underpriced,
snatch them up and resell them. It’s a fast strategy to make
a few hundred gold in one transaction.
3. Event items - Things like small eggs, glasses of milk, and anything else that is
needed in a repeating in-game event. Build these up in advance, and then dump them at inflated prices for a
huge infusion of gold.
Those 3 markets will give you a huge head start in the wow auction house. If you
can’t earn gold in those markets, you should probably stick to grinding or daily quests!
